+ 1. Introduction
===========================

Background and Importance of the project

“English language” is the most internationally accepted language as the means of communication in today world
as it could be used to communicate with people worldwide.  However, the growing influence of many countries in 
Asia-Pacific region has become more important, especially in the recent times.  And these countries have their 
own languages, hence creating problems in communication.  Therefore, the study of foreign language should not
limit only to English.  Those who are capable of understanding more foreign languages gain better opportunity.  
This is why the third language has played an important role in working and doing business nowadays.  

Korea is another country that Thai people start to pay more attention to, as can be seen from music, movies, art 
and culture, language, and television series.  But due to the fact that Korean language learning in Thailand is 
still lacking, Thais may have some misunderstanding in Korean culture.

Thanks to the advancing technology today, a new way of learning language like “interactive multimedia CD-ROM” 
is very popular as it is highly informative in terms of visuality, audibility, and especially the motion pictures.

As stated above, Korean language has become more important, hence learning Korean language is very essential.  
But the fast-paced society limits more than 62% of those who want to learn Korean language from commuting to 
the language institutions to learn Korean. (www.pingbook.com, 23-26 September 2005)

Therefore, the making of interactive multimedia CD-ROM will be the answer to the growing needs of people who 
want to learn Korean.  
This will be not only the foundation for the higher-level of Korean learning, but also the bracing of Thai-Korean 
relationships that will be very
useful in international trade.


Objectives

1.	To answer to the needs of people who cannot commute to the language institutions to be able to learn 
	Korean by themselves.
2.	To present a new, and more interesting, design of Korean learning interactive CD-ROM than the current 
	ways of leaning Korean.
3.	To create more understanding in Korean culture. 

Scope of the project

1.	Design the Korean learning interactive CD-ROM.
2.	Design the packaging of the CD-ROM. 
3.	Design the pamphlets and useful recommendation.

Methodologies

1.	Study and collect data from the following information sources;
1.1	Study and collect data on Korean language from Korea Tourism Organization
1.2	Study Korean culture and their ways of lives to convey them into the interface interactive CD-ROM.
1.3	Do the study poll on perception of Thais about Korea.
2.	Analyze the collected data to obtain the ideas for designing. 

Preliminary Results

1.	Time-saving and cost-saving for people who want to learn Korean.
2.	Creating a new, and more interesting, way of learning interactive CD-ROM that can be further developed in the real world.
3.	Exchange the language learning between Thai and Korean, hence strengthening the Thai-Korean relationships.
4.	Facilitating for people who would like to make the contact with the Koreans for future reference.

2) Run startup.exe
3) Enjoy.

If you got this THESIS PROJECT from CD
1) Insert CD to CD-ROM/DVD/Blu-ray/HD-DVD to your computer (Can not use with CD/DVD/Blu-ray/HD-DVD player)
2) Wait for a seconds, The startup will run automatically. If the startup not run automatically, just open startup.exe.
3) Enjoy.
